Peak of the sexual revolution in the West and the end of “Prague Spring”
The revolution could be traced to the worsening prospects of social advancement, changes in family life and means of communication as well as (in the US) the Black liberation movement and protests against the Vietnam war. The revolution manifested itself by removing the taboos of sex, drugs and rock music. And so a new “permissive” generation appeared, to soon dominate the public life of highly developed Western countries, passive in terms of defending the foundations of the civilisation.
