Unidentified Aircraft Bomb Košice: Hungary Enters World War Two
While Hungary did not participate in Axis military maneuvers at the start of the war, it entered the conflict on the side of Germany in 1941. Convinced that Germany presented the only means of keeping its territory, Hungary became an Axis ally after unidentified aircraft bombed Kassa, thereby furnishing adequate reason to take this final step. Unable to deny its role as Germany’s military ally, Hungary declared war against Great Britain and the United States of America at the end of 1941.
