Preparatory meeting of the Slovak World Congress, 19 – 21 June 1970

After the fourth wave of Slovak emigrants in three decades, a meeting of Slovak exile officials decided to establish a worldwide organisation of Slovaks abroad – the Slovak World Congress. It was practically impossible to create an absolutely uniform basis, but the congress succeeded in integrating the larger and most important parts of the associations.
