The first governmental programme of renewed Czechoslovakia

The first governmental programme of the renewed Czechoslovak Republic set tasks for the government at the end of the war. It also confirmed principles that became pillars of the system of ‘people´s democracy,’ which was in fact a conversion to the new totalitarian regime. This programme resulted from compromises between representatives in the London and Moscow centres of foreign resistance and the clever strategy of strengthened Slovak and Czech communists supported by Moscow. This lessened the declared Slovak-Czech co-equality.
